Hey Bob, saw this on FB WV ATV/UTV Trail Talk group:
Me and 5 riding buddies attended the "Bradshaw Hometown Days" event this weekend. We stayed at the Calvary House AirBnB (I recommend it) in War and trailered to Bradshaw. It was a nice event with several food trucks on Friday. We had three great rides hosted by Mike Baker. In the evenings they had obstacle course, drag races, mudhole, tug of war. Saturday the downtown streets were closed with many food trucks and vendors set up. All in all we a glad we went.
Was curious if we could get to Bradshaw from Hilltop area without a lot of road riding then read your response about Shop Branch being gated....bummer.

Can't wait for the Second Annual Bradshaw Hometown Days Event. Three great rides on trails I've never ridden. Some sections of the trail were definitely not for beginners. Mike Baker, the event creator, was our trail guide the two days of rides. He lives in North Carolina, but grew up in Bradshaw. During the rides, he would tell us stories about his ancestors who lived in the area. I very much enjoyed him telling us about his relatives going back to the civil war. On our last ride, Mike took us to a cemetery which had, not only an incredible view, but also an outhouse which a few people took advantage of. Below are some of the tombstones. In color no less! I'm re-thinking cremation. Here is a link to the rest of the pictures and videos. larrymccallie.smugmug.com/2023-Bradshaw-Hometown-Days-RideLarry
