Looks like the roll cage held up.

Passenger area held up well. Rest of machine crumpled as it should. I’m sure it was one heck of a ride down.
I can see plenty of opportunities to roll. The shot at 2:12ish is a long way down.

The new RZR Pro XP frame is now a fully welded one-piece design utilizing 2-inch diameter tubing. Polaris claims that the new roll cage is the strongest one that comes stock on a UTV. The main tubes are 2 inches in diameter, with 1.75-inch cross tubes, and it bolts together from eight different pieces.

There was a bad accident on Indian ridge near Reed Junction on Friday. Supposedly one had died and the other in ICU.

Wow wonder what happened. Not much there I see as dangerous.
I’m amazed there’s not more wrecks. Most sxs now just carry a big yeti in the back. Drinking and riding is more popular than ever.
We ran into another bunch of azzhokes at Barkers Creek yesterday. Parked in middle of trail and just stared at us when we pulled up. No attempt to move machines. Reminded me of when we pulled behind RzrNation stopped and they just smiled at us.

We had one roll over at the view the other weekend. Not a scratch on the machine, pretty unbelievable. Attachments:

This is the biggest reason I prefer to ride in the winter months. Less idiots going too fast on the wrong side of the trail in blind turns. I have been in a few close calls up there years ago from folks not slowing down in blind corners and hugging the inside line. Looks like that is not the case for these accidents but that's where I have had the most scares. Also not as many instances where there are 10 machines blocking the entire trail when it's 30 degrees outside!

Funny thing is the rollovers I’ve seen were in slow non technical areas. I’ve never seen one in the tough technical areas.
It was the same with ATVs. The wrecks tended to be in open roads.
If there becomes i high number of deaths then we will see regulation. I’m impressed with how few rules we really have to follow.

I wonder if this is because so many new people are getting into riding --- and don't always act like adults?

Rolling down has to be rough. When I was at top of flag rock looking down there was definitely some spots to avoid. Machines now are highly capable but still need to pick a good line.
