Great trip. Laughing at Grumpys gas cans. He didn’t want anyone touching those.

For those who are uninformed about what Bob is talking about, Bob's alternator stopped working on his truck on the way back from Utah. Bob noticed that his voltage was steadily going down while on the interstate. It was Saturday night in the middle of nowhere. He pulled over at the next exit. Randy was ahead of us and stopped at an auto parts store that was about to close. Randy got the alternator, turned around, and came back to us. Grumpy wanted to install the new alternator. Grumpy got his nickname for good reason. I remember holding the flashlight so Grumpy could see the alternator bolts. He got mad at me for shining the lights on his eyes. He said a few choice words. Others wanted to help, but Grumpy said in no uncertain terms to keep away. Needless to say, Grumpy got the job done. We traveled through the night and finally got home.

I remember that clearly. Carver and myself were an hour ahead and happened to be near Advance Auto close to closing time.

What a great adventure ! Think those are pics from the 2008 and 2011 ride. They both rank up there as "Best Ever" for me. and who are all those young people in those photos? KB

The link and picture gallery title shows "2012 Utah Trip - Big Rock Candy Mountain". Ken's picture is from 2008. Sorry about the confusion.

2018 ride was great also, Larry's 2012 pictures of the lake look the same when we rolled up in 2018. Places hasn't changed.
