Windmill gap was definitely closed Memorial Day weekend. Was no way around. Crazy mess.
Skyline is really easy ride use Bobs maps. Even easier following Bob.

Mike, when will you guys arrive and where are you staying? We should be arriving Friday afternoon, staying at camper shared with my buddy Dave and Wiley at Rocky Top ATV Ranch. It's the newest gated community, ask Lonnie, Ken, and Randy about it...ha ha! Rocky Top is showing on Bob's latest map, right next to WV ATV Rental.

When you come through Bluewell there is an ATV place (Millers) on your left that sells passes.

Just a quick recap of our ride this weekend..... IT WAS AWESOME!!!!! Guy, Angie and I arrived Thursday afternoon and got a short ride in down to the beer can alley and back, since it was Angie, first trip... Guy had only been there one time.... Then Bob, Guy, Angie, Chad S and I went to Buffalo Trails for dinner... Had to wait for over an hour for a table.... It was a cluster but the food was great...
On Thursday, a large group of us went to Ol Jose in Pineville.... Some of the neighbors to the Bob,s camper joined us...Chad S. Bobby S, Jeff and Lynn, plus some other friends Jason, Leigh, Tyler and cousin who have a camper at Black Dog... Even though the veterans had been there numerous times, it was first time for me , Guy and Angie... One of the highlights of the ride was on the way back we stopped at Mouth of Spider creek and there was a large crowd partying hard on a Friday afternoon.... They even fired off a couple of M5000 fireworks, which pushed us to move on before they brought out something bigger. Guy said it looked life a Bottleneck Video... If you have never heard of the group Bottleneck. you need to goggle and watch one of their video's. Got back to Hilltop and grilled some steaks, with corn on the cob and of course some Evan Williams and Jack...
Fortunately, Doc Best and wife Martha joined us to a ride to Skyline on Saturday. which was also a first for me. We had a great ride with some awesome trails... Bob took us up a trail that we have renamed Microwave Hill. Before we started up the hill Bob shared on the radio we should be in 4L and expect rocks as big as microwaves.... He was definitely right but it was a fun trail.. Got back to Hilltop and fried some crappie and hush puppies for dinner..
Overall, even though my family could not join me because of Amber's pregnancy. I still had a great time and Guy and Angie, who just joined this sport/hobby are already bugging me about the next trip... So stay tuned...
