We stayed in Pineville, WV recently (July 2018) and rode through HMT Pinnacle Creek in hopes of having a leisurely ride to the Wagon Wheel area. After passing Tiny's, the first creek crossing was fun, but the remaining creek crossings got progressively treacherous. What I mean is, not the actual creek crossings, but the huge mudholes/waterholes at each creek with unknown depths and their adjacent deeply rutted bypass trails. We finally made it through on stock RZR 800s and Sportsman 850. Some of the bypass trails were rutted so badly that we had to pile rocks in for clearance issues.
With that said, do you guys still run the creek crossing trail through Beer Can Alley? Do you use the mudhole/waterhole bypasses or are the mudholes/waterholes not as bad as they look? How is the 9-Mile Creek Bypass Trail?
Also, how is the first trail past Pinnacle Creek Campground that goes up to the Haul Road (close to Flag Rock)?
The last time we rode the Beer Can Alley trail was about 4 years ago and it wasn't too bad at all.
Thanks
Ray

Rode the trail that cuts from campground to the haul rd last weekend and no problem.

Bypass is fine but long as always. The creek trail is ok but you have to know it’s just better to ride up the creek.

When you say, "ride up the creek", do you mean just enough to bypass the big mudholes at some of the creek crossings or literally ride the creek all the way up to Tiny's?
We rode a little in the creek several times to bypass some big mudholes. That's where we found the bypass trails really rutted in places.
