Not personally but I have read post on rzrforum with pictures of them burnt to the ground. Sadly this recall probably came about because a 15yr old in the back seat of a 4 seater died when it caught on fire.

Rzrs burn for 2 common reasons: -in sand riding due to long time wide open throttle driving overheating belt and cover -voltage regulator failing and overheating (certain years/models).
The voltage regulator issue is real and it's time for Polaris to fix them with a quality regulator. I know one person that has a 2014 1000 that has gone through 4 oem regulators. That's crazy.
My 12 does not have that issue.

I think every time one catches fire it is posted on the RZR forum. I think it has been about 6-10. A lot of the were carrying gas in the back that leaked, a couple were not. All of the ones that I have heard of were in Glamis where they ride wide open for a long time. Mine is recalled to replace the gas tank vent line which appears fine and to replace or add a heat shield. I never heard of VR's overheating, just failing.
