Carver, Mike and I arrived at Hilltop on Thursday night and drank around the fire till 2:00 am. Fri morning we rode up to MTC's and said hi to Lee's group, they had a huge crowd so we decided to ride on our own.
We headed back to Hilltop and down to WMG re. In a field beside WMG we saw a helicopter and the were assembling a 30' long saw that hangs underneath the helicopter. It had ten 24" saw blades. There is a video of a similar one below.
We took the trail to Maybeury and had a biscuit for breakfast and then headed to Anawalt Lake, then to Canby Manor. We then headed up Trotten Ridge, through the Black Wolf mine. This is the trail that was blocked by a mining operation a few years ago. We took mostly dirt haul rd to Miracle Mtn. Rode the grassy trail from MM to XVM35 mine, trails into War for gas and lunch. Meat Loaf, mashed tators, macaroni salad, corn bread and cheese cake. We then rode the trails west of Hwy-16 into Coalwood and saw the "Rocket Boys" space shuttle. Rode up Hwy-16 about 4 miles and then took trails east to Hwy-103 and up Tallman Village Rd to trail behind Walmart. Rode trails to Walmart and then hauled ass back to Hilltop.
Rode 137 miles, the most I have ever ridden in a single day.
Sat morning it was 30 degrees, raining and sleeting with a 90% chance of rain so we decided to come home.

Cool saw. I love the restaurant in War. Delicious. Sounds like a great ride.

It was good seeing you Bob, however brieflee! We reached about the same mileage but it took us two days with 30 head or so. Beautiful weather for mid March too. A bit dusty though. Great FUN! A Thursday group photo attempt. Friday And for our Punisher

Mike and Bob did a great job of leading through the trails. We ran about a 25 mph pace average with just a few stops. Overall an excellent ride.
