so every time I pump more grease in the zerk's I push out a ton of water and takes a lot of pumps to see grease. wondering if anyone has tried waterproof marine grease for bushings??

You identified the best part of having the grease fittings - they push the sandy dirt and water out.
I use the green grease - it's waterproof and compatible with all other. I'm not sure kind matters.
Since changing the Super Daves 2200 miles ago I've only greased my front twice. Was told not too. The bushings are still very tight with minimal play.
