Greg W, Barry B and I went up Friday afternoon and rode to Bramwell where we ate Dinner at the CornerShop.
We then rode some of the Pocohontas trails and on very steep trail 82 Greg hit a nasty rock which put his bike on its side. The rear box hit Greg in the back when it turned on its side and he was a bit sore. But we got it up right and went back down. Be warned about trail 82 - it appears this one rock ledge has washed out sine the trail was cut and is not very passable.
Saturday - Bob T, Allen S, Barry B and I went out the left trails as you leave hilltop looking to find where the Poconhontas trails will come into the Tolliver Lake area. We did not find any definite answers. But we did take outlaw trails to over to the Pocohontas system and rode more of those trails. Trail 84 is another to avoid. We came through a few steep down hills before we came upon the straight up hill --- and it really looked straight up --- way too steep to even attempt on an ATV. So we back tracked out. Trail 85 on this system is a black trail but not tough at all -- lots of mud holes, none too deep - was nice a nice cool, wet trail for a hot day. Then back to hilltop.
Sunday - Bob T, Barry B, Allen S and I went down the creek trail to Tiny's and took the connector to Northfork. From there we rode hwy 52 to Mayberry and rode some outlaw trails off 52 and came back through the Indian Ridge system back to hill top.
Great riding and weather. And Saturday and Sunday mornings we build 2 decks on our new Trailer with Barry handling the layout and doing lots of the work while Bob and I supervised - lol. Also Allen jumped in and helped us too. Thanks for the help guys -- Bob and I can use all the help we can get!!!!
