Saturday morning, Michael, Ken, Allen and myself decided to go explore more over at Mullens. We took the road to the cut-off toward WW and took the Outpost trail down to the creek and then up to Lusk Cemetery and then took Spider Creek to HMPC Mullens connector.
We did not have any of the prior tracks with us so we basically started over. There were a few times when we had no idea where we were. We found some more real nice trails and some nice Dead Ends. We kept following our instincts and made it to HWY 10 and then over to the trail on the map that went from Hwy 10 to HMPC-11 in the middle of the HMPC system. If we did not have the track on the map we would never have found it. There were faint tracks but it seemed like we were bushwacking. We came back the creek trails. This turned out to be a pretty nice loop to and from Mullens with little riding on the same trails twice. I have attached the GPS tracks for all of the trails we have at Mullens
One thing I discovered that is very cool is Garmins Birds Eye Imagery. I had put it on my GPS months ago and forgot about it. When I pulled it up it showed a satellite image of the area. I had every place we rode on my GPS. It allows you to see what is on the other side of a hill or where roads are.
