Came up to Hilltop Friday Morning. Bob T had stayed the night at Hilltop Thursday night so he was already here When I came up at 9:30. A few minutes later Kevin R showed up. Theresa walked over from her camper Friday morning as well. So off we went, the four of us. We took the Canover trail. I was expecting the trails to be even worse than the last time I was there. But surprise, surprise. Somebody took a bulldozer to it. Its now a green trail! We may have to rename the trail to HondaOver now. Theresa had a minor flop over. She wasn't hurt, but her Adrenalin kicked in. Bob thinks the Canover/Hondaover trail may be the new Hatfield-McCoy Pocahontas trail. Not sure though. We bumped into trail 27. This is the connector trail between the two H-M trail systems. Since we where close to Northfork, we hate deacon burgers at the Coffee house. After lunch, we went to Tiny's and took the Creek trail. We took the trails to the train trestles, but didn't ride any tresses or tunnels because Bob didn't want to. Party pooper. Went we got back to Hilltop, it started to rain. Then it started to hail so bad you couldn't hear yourself talk. And ohhh my gosh the thunder boomers. The next morning, there were piles of hail everywhere.
On Saturday, Allen and Wiley came up. Theresa decline to ride with us again. She said she had work to do. Bob led the way. He had pre-planned a trip to tails near a town called Anawalt. We went down some decent trails and some not so nice trails. We found a lot of dead ends, but I enjoyed the riding and exploring. On the way back, we were on the H-M trails coming back from Coal Creek cafe. Wiley needed to get a H-M pass. Bob took a short cut back because of the threat of rain. We took the Indian Ridge trails and got walloped by the rain. It was so bad I had to stop. I couldn't see the trail in front of me. I had taken off my goggles and still couldn't see. After about a minute, it let up so I keep going. The trails turned into gully washers. Eventually we got back to Hilltop. Allen and Wiley loaded up in the rain and left. Bob, Kevin, and I stayed the night.
Lonnie - We're supposed to tell you that Sunshine is back. We ate breakfast and dinner at the Hilltop restaurant.
