Larry M, Tori and I arrived and Historic Matewan house Bed & Breakfast thursday night for a 3 day stay.
We all rode about 45 miles Friday on the Hatfield trails. Great weather but a bit dusty. Trails were great but it seams the Green trails are much more difficult than a beginner trail in my opinion, so be careful if you come here riding with newbie riders.
We also heard that there is going to be a connector from this trail system to Gilbert (Rockhouse ) trail system. Larry and I rode out to see if we could see where it starts after we dropped Tori off late in the day. Like most TTB exploring we found many dead ends --- but we might try again today to see if we can happen upon it. From what we were told it is about 20 miles to Gilbert.
I will post up more after today's ride - think we are going to see the wild horses they have up in this area.

Saturday was great - got to about 80 and sunny all day -- still dusty but otherwise perfect riding weather. Larry and I tried to follow the tracks Scotty took us on to the wild horses but a logging operation stopped the trail. However we went exploring and found it farther down. We by passed the 2 steep sections which included the one big rock wall by finding an even nastier overgrown rocky down hill --- great --- we did however see wild horses and fed them apples. After the apples were gone they were going into Larry's box and even pushed his helmet off the bike looking for more food. Tori enjoyed the horses and we were all careful to not get behind any of them for fear of getting kicked.
We rode 87 miles on all outlaw trails and enjoyed it more then the Hatfield trails.
