good grief Ken. I am supprized it would go that fast, what a mess!
I guess you will have to track down you leak. seal that puppy up... check the front intake under the front cowl. you might want to install some screen to catch the mud. better to seal the intake, than allow that muck down into the drive sheaves.

Check the intake at the bottom where it joins the motor. My yamaha has a very inadequate flange to hold the pipe. I have had to reinforce that connection with creative engineering.

that is amazing that it even pulled , I have had water get in the clutch case , but never stop up the vent with what looks like rocks . Glad you broke it down and checked it out . Randy P. taught me a trick long time ago, all O ring seals put axle grease on them , it makes a tacky glue that is easy to way off if needed and seals better than most sruff you can buy on them belt boxes , and does not break down the seals . You need someting to filter you intake /Exchaust so that stuff can not get into there .

Ken, are you going to have to replace the belt?

It's only got about 900 miles on it and measured out ok so I didnt replace it. Im gonna to see how it runs at the picnic this weekend and if it dosent feel right I'll throw a new one in before the next trip to WV. Changing the belt is a pretty easy process.....taking the sheaves apart, cleaning, regreasing etc. was more of a pain.
