Before I tore into my 300 motor I had an oil leak that I thought was a gasket, it was the cam chain tentioner, and the bolt was loose. So I go to re-install it and the dang thing is stripped . So I need to find one. According to service honda is a 6x25 bolt, and I don't know how to find out what size helicoil I need and also need to know where to get one. We had to use a helicoil on my 200R for the head bolt but its been several years since then.

Fixed it with a longer bolt, but just for future reference, does anyone know where I can find heli-coils locally? Smithermans in lewisville/clemmons used to have them but don't anymore.

Gene's Auto Parts in Clemmons should have them, they have everything else and use to carry them.

Yep, he's one of the few old school Auto Parts stores left. Yeah, its been awhile since i'v been in there, but love to go in there, I don't really like the big ones, their not much help when you need something they can't lookup in a computer.
