“We can thank Steve H about existence of this hole.“ Larry, I “dig” the way you said that. However, i ran across the “mine escapement” when i went riding with Josh, Bobby and Zeb back in July (they each have trailers near Bob’s). I found myself riding with these questionable characters when i planned to ride with Larry, on a friday but his back was still hurting from a recent fall. Anyway, I thumb fingered the gps and lost the track i made that day and could not figure where this hole was. Turns out, i took a video of me dropping a rock into the hole and my phone recorded the coordinates in something called the metadata. After many weeks and much thumb wrestling, i got it to reveal the location to me, and then to Larry and Dave. Enjoy.

Wow 1500ft. That’s a good hiding place to drop dead bodies.
From pic it looks like you had a good group riding Saturday

Probably not 1500’ I don’t think we took into account the time it would take for the rock hitting sound to travel back up the hole.

I did, 1,100 feet/sec. So probably around 1,200 feet deep. The ground around there is 2,300 feet above sea level. Doesn't make sense

It was a rental with inexperienced driver going to fast to catch up (40mph) and rolled it multiple times. Everyone is OK
