Howdy All
This was emailed to me from Polaris. The reach of government is everywhere.
Dear Off-Road Enthusiasts,
The Federal Government wants to design your next off-road side-by-side vehicle by mandating handling and performance capabilities and requiring excessive and potentially unsafe restraint systems. If not halted, the mandate will limit the off-road community's options.
Your immediate action is needed now. By reaching out to your elected officials and letting them know you oppose this mandate, together we can halt this regulation, but you must act now. We only have 75 days to act, and tell Congress and the CPSC that their mandates are not right for the off-road.
As a unified off-road community, we can protect our right to ride for today and the future.

I don't know if I buy the video. I want:
1. Self centering steering. Why does the power steering on SxS not return to center? Heck make the rear steer too... 2. Street tires are fine -- the Mongrels are great tires (http://www.gbcmotorsports.com/kanati-mongrel-p-216.html) 3. The seat-belt thing is BS -- it should be easy to implement. I wear mine so no big deal. 4. Easier and more reliable doors would be great. The drawing on the video is about the same clearance I have anyway.
I would not regulate Honda but Polaris probably needs some. They can't even tighten bolts. This last weekend the Rzr 1000 Highlifter had bolts backing out and the 2014 Sportsman 570 had many poor construction issues such as a seat that would not stay on (CRAZY!).
