Sounds like a good plan to me... Build a semi-crappy product that's prone to breaking but that everyone loves so much they will want to buy it anyway.....charge crazy prices for it and for the parts to fix it when it breaks knowing dam well that everyone will still buy them anyway.....then charge them to upgrade the warranty because you know they are all afraid not too have one for fear of getting stuck paying your crazy prices on replacement parts and repairs. Then the icing on the cake, you now get to approve or deny the warranty claims and have the customers pay the full replacement parts prices anyway! LOL! Don't get me wrong, I'm loving my PoPo, its a blast to ride and I'm happy I have it. I'm just not so sure its the best engineered or reliable product out there. I'm also not sure how well its going to hold up for someone who actually rides it opposed to someone who just puts a bunch of fancy parts on it and stares at it in the garage. I've got a little over 1000 miles on mine in about 2 months and its going back into the shop next week to get the output shaft seal replaced because its leaking already! lol. In my opinion, Polaris is just like BMW, an enthusiasts machine....you want to play, you got to be willing to pay. This coming from a guy who has a fancy BMW Motorrad product sitting right next to it in the garage. I look at the RZR just like the beemer....great performance, industry leader in its class with questionable engineering and crazy maintenance, parts and repair costs.....but a total BLAST to ride! I gotta have them!
