This will likely just be for temporary use if it should come up a cloud on the trails. Should work though. Probably just keep it folded up under the seat and pull out when needed. Just added some extra grommets where needed. Some grommets went through both layers of the tarp where I folded it so it is not made to unfold anymore. Could in an emergency easily enough with a little help from a knife. Attachments:

Matt, it will work great. I did the same exact thing. You will leave it on more than you think. Its GREAT for the sun!

I like the tarpon on the wall too. I guess she would not let it in the house.

I like the tarpon on the wall too. I guess she would not let it in the house. Well, I didn't really have room for it in the house. Possibly in the new kitchen I guess, but fur mounts pretty well take up the basement. Figured a fiberglass mount would fair better in the garage versus the fur mounts. I used to have a sailfish out there too, but finally moved some stuff around to put in in the basement. Might have to put it in the new kitchen....swap out a deer head for a while. Hadn't really thought about it until you mentioned it. Glad you brought it up. BTW, caught the tarpon off Baldhead island near the Oak Island lighthouse live bait fishing. The Sailfish was caught off Morehead City in the inlet. Both were caught with impending t-storms.

Won't transport it with it on, but should hold up to the trail speeds I'd think. If I tear it up, I'll get another one for $5 or less and add the grommets again. I'll definitely pursue Hank Thomas Motorsports at some point. Sounds like a very good, more permanent solution.

By the way, while I was measuring and test fitting in the garage on Saturday (after the storm, but still very windy), my neighbor had a really bad day. I heard the tree crash, then thought, heck, I'm in the garage working, he could be too. I ran over but he was ok. He had a Harley that got split right down the middle, just like his garage. Hate it for him.

Glad you missed the storm damage, nice fish. Thanks David, me too! I've got several monster trees within range of my garage. Could have been me or my garage easily.
