Havasu would be a good place to stay 2 days. There's the Desert Bar down by Parker that would be kinda neat to see. There is also the Bunker Bar outside of Havasu to the North. Plus it seemed like lots of activities to do in Havasu.

Ok so there will be several untagged sxs. I’m not as comfortable with Havasu. Is there much risk not having tags? Two days more than doubled the risk imo.

I suspect all bars and restaurants will not have seating.

When booking the Microtel in Welton call the hotel direct at 9287853777. Ask to book the Peace Trail discount.
Booking direct with Peace Trail discount is only $85.50 with tax. When I first booked through Microtel online it was $130.71 with tax. I called online Wyndham and they couldn’t find Peace Trail discount. Gotta call hotel direct.
Thanks Bob for finding this discount!!

I agree on Havasu also. Randy, I didn’t have mine registered but did have the OHV permit.

So are we doing 3/11 and 3/12 at Havasu?

Is there enough to see around Havasu to spend 2 days?
Are we still starting riding on 3/8 or 3/7?
Bobs original list was riding starting 3/8.

Nate and I went exploring at night while the retirement home was sleeping. We had a blast. I’m for still leaving on the eighth, cause I’m lazy and don’t want to rebook all the hotels.

I’m ok with whatever group decides. This would just have us back in NC on Monday instead of Sunday.
I might need to “work from the truck” some on way back.

I think we can wait until we are there. If we want to stay an additional day all we have to do is move the Kingman Hotel back one day. Depending on how Covid is doing in AZ at the time. On our last trip most restaurants on had carry out. The hotels we stayed in did not even have continental breakfast.

I would agree, there seemed to be lots of hotels in Havasu and the Kingman one wasnt very busy when were there so it could easily be booked last minute.

The nice part about Havasu was there is lots to do there, places to eat, the weather was nice, the lake not to warm but manageable. Fairly quick easy ride to Kingman for those that don't want to stay in Havasu another day. Traffic was friendly, didn't feel like an outsider while driving through town.
If every one hadn't already started booking hotels I would have suggested starting and stopping in Havasu.
Side Note----- are you all running GMRS radios again, if so I am going to get one ordered, the handheld was a pain last year.

Larry/David probably missed it but I see your planning on flying, where are you flying into and are you renting or shipping your rig.

Good reminder about the radios. I’m going to order a fixed mount for mine.

David and I are flying into Las Vegas. We're then renting a car and driving 108 miles to Kingman. We're arriving a couple days before and a couple days after to have some wiggle room and to do some sightseeing and may do trails above Kingman before the rest of the group arrives. We are using www.shipacarinc.com/ to have our rigs shipped to Kingman and returned later. Larry M

Ordered my OHV decal. Called fish and game, they said likely won’t get it in time but to carry a paper copy of the receipt. Just FYI for what it’s worth.

I am looking at going on this trip. At the moment looking at driving alone with one sxs.
Are the original dates one night each place still good are we looking at Havasu City Quality Inn for two nights? Was going to go ahead and make some cancelable reservations.

I think only one night in Havasu city at the moment, we may decide to add a day when we are there.
