My 900S is 4.5 years old with 6,900 miles.
Had my Fox 2.0 shocks rebuilt. Ever since Arizona I have had a clunk in the front left. My bearings, bushings, tie rod end all have zero play. I check to see if my winch, front diff, steering rack were tight and they were. so the only thing left was the shock. I also had an occasional small metallic clunk in the rear. (turned out to be shock bushings and pins) I thought it might be the hooks on my tow strap heating each other, I took the strap out of machine and it was still there.
I took my shocks to Scott Hewitt in Davidson, a super nice guy. He works for Joe Gibbs Racing. He charges $55 to rebuild the innards and $20 to add shraeder valves to the Nitrogen cylinder.
I had a lot more issues. My rear shock threaded down tubes were almost worn through, threads were gone. My lower shock bushings and pins were shot, and one lower eyelet had to be replaced. Two shocks had no nitrogen and two had very little. Scott said 6,900 miles was a lot on shocks.
So besides the original $75/shock I had to get two new shock tubes, new bushings and pins, and a new eyelet. At no cost he upgraded my nitrogen cylinder end caps to some aluminum ones with built in shraeder valves with covers $45. each. He put 100psi of nitrogen in them. My total cost was $780.
I set my clickers to 6 off soft. It rides just like new, all noises and clunks are gone. Amazing difference, very smooth.
I found out you are supposed to clock you springs, the ends should be opposite each other.
