Part of Windmill Gap Road is now closed....maybe permanently. If you are going South on Windmill Gap Rd, from Wrong Turn restaurant, a berm is now in place just past the house with all the non-running automobiles in the front yard. If you've been on Windmill Gap Rd recently, its where you just start to see the coal excavation area. If you are going North from US 52 or the H/M Trailhead, another berm is 1/4 mile from the turn to Belcher Cemetery and the Pocahontas trails. The reason I'm saying "permanently", is because it looks like coal miners are going to take down the mountain containing Windmill Gap. I hope I'm wrong.

Rode down there a few weeks ago and they were in the process of what you described. Seems they bought all the property south of the house with all the cars. Hopefully the haul road they now have to the right of that house (heading south) leads out to 52.

It’s a mess. Forcing more people on paved roads. No quick way to Trailhead at end of WMG. Bramwell now takes 3x as long to get there.
Doesn’t seem right that they can block off an established road.

They had piled a load of dirt 4’ high across the road. It is gone now.
