Looking to pickup a ROTOPAX gas can. Thinking 3 gallon size. Anyone got an extra they want to sell? Also looking any many threads of other people that have done the trip and seems a common equipment failure is blown belts so I plan on putting my new belt on and break it in before the trip then carry the used for spare, or even maybe buying another new one. Also ordering an extra balljoint and tie rod end.

I plan on replacing my ball joints before we go. They are original and seem good but at 5,300 miles I'm changing them and bringing 1 or 2 as a spare. I will bring my ball joint tool. My tie rod ends are like new.
How big is your gas tank?

Thanks Wiley but I'm actually looking to permanently mount one so I can carry for all rides. I want to mount it on the drivers side above the tree kicker. That way I don't have to carry it in the back above the motor. I have heard these Rzr's tend to catch fire from time to time.

So you are going to use a fuel pack as a tree kicker, what could possibly go wrong.

Bob I finally was able to look at Daily trips. Looks like the longest without gas is 77 miles and that’s one time. The next longest is 65 miles then it’s 55 or less between gas. That’s not bad. I’m gonna be tight on gas at 95 or so miles. Hopefully someone can carry a gallon for me in case I need it.

That’s a great spreadsheet. I went ahead and ordered me a bigger tank. I should be good between gas stations

I might need two 3 gallon spare tanks now. Just added 66.00 extra pounds. Front tires I went from 38 lbs to 60 lbs a tire. Back tires were 49 lbs to 60 lbs. I might have went to big.

Yes bigger is usually better, just not heavier! We'll see how much more stress it puts on my front bearings. Speaking of bearings, I just greased them for the trip and they are still pretty tight. I am a firm believer now in greasing them from new. I got 3k miles on them now and my Highlifter was on 2nd set by that point. Found the rear lower control arm bushing was worn out, guess I'll have to get me some high clearance ones now. Also my brake pads were a tad worn. Got my money's worth out of them!
