Bob - Looked at the trip Itenerary. So we park our trucks/trailers at a safe place in Kingman, AZ. We pack our clothes in our SxSs. We hit the trails and find a motel to sleep at the end of the day. Looks/sounds exciting!

It's already mapped. The AZPT website has the gpx tracks. I have cleaned them up.

We will have to contact some RV parks in Klingman and see if we can park there for a week.

Daily ride schedule looks good Bob, convenient to I-40 I can go 120mi on a tank, looks like I’ll need to add a small reserve tank for sections that we won’t be able to get gas.

I called the Arizona Game and Fish Department at (602) 942-3000. I explained that I am a North Carolina resident and that I can't get a SxS vehicle title nor a North Carolina license plate. I explained that I have already purchased an Arizona OHV decal. I asked where I should put the decal if I don't have a license plate. The person said to affix it to the left rear quarter panel; that I don't need a license plate for a non-resident from a state that doesn't license SxSs. This makes so much sense.

While looking at the AZPT, I got a little side-tracked and found this trail in So. Utah. Check this professional driver out on the Broken Chain Trail.

It might be a good idea if we have a "Chase Guy". The Chase Guy would not ride the trails on a SxS. The purpose of the Chase Guy would be to ride roads in a truck/trailer and meet us at our various destinations. The Chase Guy would carry along extra gear and tools. Arizona trails is mostly wide open with occasion "interesting" trail sections. We'll also be riding 50 miles per hour in a lot of sections. If someone breaks down, we'll be far away from our trucks/trailers. I know some folks will be flying and renting, but some of us will have their own SxSs. If you know of someone who might want to be the "Chase Guy", lets bring him along.

Clara has never driven my truck, much less the truck with a trailer. She calls my truck "the beast". I do need to be gender neutral...."Chase Person". Any volunteers yet?

I think I am changing my mind on when to go. Looking at the temp graphs it appears Late April is the ideal time.

Haul my motorcycle out, furnish me a place to stay, and I’ll be the chase guy. I’m getting older and really want to cruise around on dual sport sometime before I get much older.
With my dual sport I can ride trails or road.

I read that already. Bunch of whiners. Don’t go when it’s gonna snow. If you see sand put your feet down and middle through it.
I suck at bikes but it’s entertaining since there’s always the threat of busting my ass. I get tired I find a road and something good to eat.
Also too much thought in tagging a bike. Go on eBay and look up “motorcycle license plate”. Buy one and mount it. Pick ND or somewhere that makes sense. Don’t do a yankee state that don’t offer sxs plates.

Besides Randy's offer, another option to just one guy driving the chase truck is to have 5 or 6 guys take one day off each from riding to drive the truck. That person driving the chase truck could have their SxS on the trailer; if someone should break down on the trail, their machine could go onto the trailer and they could then drive the truck the rest of the day. The guy's SxS that had been driving the truck before the break down could be off-loaded and he could ride with the group the rest of the day.
Just a thought on the chase truck idea...

Brilliant Nelson. Great idea.
Now, how do we communicate with each other? I have a SPOT which provides location information and pre-programmed messages. We won't have cell service in remote areas.
