napa mount is for a 61 falcon. If you compare the two the difference is a tougher rubber compound and also it has studs on both ends. oe has stud on one end and female threads on other end. either way it works and is a known upgrade for our sportsmans. + they are 4.99 at autozone.

Well after we fixed the mounts we found a much larger problem with either: damper spring, input shaft, or coupler shaft. Wont know till after the utah trip. long story short, amber has a new ride.

So last sat, (last riding day in Utah) at the very end of the ride I found avery small hole in my radiator at the car wash. I took it to the local radiator shop and they said they couldn't fix it its aluminum. I was shocked a radiator shop in the business of repairing radiators could not fix a aluminum radiator. So I asked them if they ever heard of muggy weld, ultra fuse or one of many more rods one could use. they said no. so guess ill fix it myself.

btw on a 09 or newer 550,850,and 1000 sportsman a single Hy-Vo 1/2" wide silent chain is the final drive, this is all that contains all of 90hp in a 1000 sportsman and down. dumbest cheapest design I have seen.

I thought Polaris was only using chains for Reverse. I was not aware of the use of them on final drive. I know they are on Jeeps like the Rubicon and those 1"+ chains handle 300 hp fine. The 1/2" should handle 90hp without issue assuming Polaris aligns everything correct.
I do not consider this Polaris's dumbest engineering design. Plastic front diff carriers, cv shafts with more than 1" of play, and airboxes that leak when new far surpass that. Heck they even designed the engines such that on the newer XP's the average mechanic can not easily align the jug to get the rings inside with scuffing the cylinder. Polaris is about volume not engineering....

reverse chain is in the bottom of the case between the input and reverse shaft. chain rub's the case. sprockets look fine

That chain on bottom of case looks like a half azz engineering job. It will Run but builds heat and wear that is not needed. That's normal Popo.

So why are you in that deep? You mentioned radiator hole but that ain't the radiator. Lol

ambers wheeler was popping loudly under acceleration. found the chain had stretched so much it was trying to roll off the sprocket causing the popping sound. if you just spin it by hand it try's to roll off.it also has just started to rub the case. for some reason it failed at 2600 miles. my atv has now over 3500 with no problem yet.

That should never fail. Once you get it off it will be interesting to know if it has an extra link. I didn't think those chains stretch.

Next time buy a Can-Am if you like power. Hard to beat their ATVs.

I can take the chain in my hand the pull and push the links into the pins, chain for some reason stretched badly. symptoms began within 500 miles. transmission is simple layout with shift cam and 1 shift fork. dog gears are clean and bearings all feel tight. 2 silent chains 1 for reverse (not seen in photo) other main drive chain to output shafts.
