Hilltop Days Pictures The current president of the Triad Triad Trailblazers, Lonnie W, is on the left. The past president of the Club, Tom D, is on the right. We went on a ride in the morning and came back in time to eat dinner provided by the club. Soon after we all ate, we had a downpour of rain and wind. Tyler brought watermelon. Everybody had fun. People stuck around even during the rain under pop-up canopies. The rest of the pictures are here.

We had a great turnout for our Saturday meal - I counted 19 who ate with us - The club provided Hamburgers & Hotdogs with all the fixings. Thanks to Jim G who helped me set up the easy ups, tables & Grill; Thanks to Nelson B. & Lennie M. for bringing their Easy Ups; And Thanks to Larry for letting us set up at his camper for the meal.
Friday's Ride: Me, Nelson B., Jim G., Greg S & Worth, Lennie M. & Josh, Charlie D. & Tim B. rode down to the Anawalt Lake area and followed a large loop Amber and Mike showed us last week. We stopped at the Gas Station in Gary, WV then followed some of the War area trails behind the closed Walmart in Kimball on our way back to Hilltop. We rode 82 miles in all with great weather.

A big shout out to Tom for getting this together and all the ones who put in their time and equipment. The food was good and the weather was nice up until about an hour after we finished eating then the bottom fell out but its was fun standing under an Easy-Up with the guy's trying to hold it down while still getting soaked. On a side note the Polaris bug finally got me, we was not far from camp and the right A-arm came off of the Ace. Some how the nut worked its way down on the ball joint and broke the cotter-pin which then let the nut fall completely off so then the A-arm came off. Thumbs up to the ones who helped me get to Ziggy's Polaris repair shop. He had a ball joint and replaced the old one and honestly he did not charge me near enough for an emergency repair. $27 for the ball joint and $46 to replace it. Thanks to all who helped out.

Glad you got it fixed Lonnie. That's pretty cool on Ziggy's - a decent repair ship has been needed up there for years.
Hate that I missed the cookout and rides but it was graduation Sunday at the church and I had to be there. I also just got my rzr back together from last week.

A great weekend all around. We had some great riding both days and great eats! Both Charlie and I had brand new SXS's (Polaris & Yamaha Wolverine) and both did well. Tom (& Larry) did a great job planning the weekend and then Tom and Jim didn't ride Saturday in order to stay, set up and prepare for the cookout - then they cooked; thanks to them. And Larry should be thanked for helping plan and for hosting the cookout at his place and dealing with some clean-up.
On a side note, I took my Wolverine for a "leisurely" night ride after the heavy rains with Tyler and Jason on Tyler's SXS pretty late Saturday night. It was a lot fun but wouldn't have been possible without our LED lightbars in the dense fog on trails such as 82. In general, I had no clue where I was most to that ride. I can't wait to ride again and wish I could more often! BTW, when Tyler tells you it's going to be an "easy" ride on "easy" trails, ask him to define "easy".

I also want to thank Tom and Jim for setting everything up for the cook-out and Larry for hosting. We had two great days of riding. After riding 140+ miles, my 12 year old grandson, Worth, was completely worn out! He did say it was the best time he ever had at Hilltop and didn't want to leave.
