Tyler - Kens bearing wore out taking the pads out then taking the knuckle, hub, and axle. It's a Pooaris design that results in carnage. As for rescuing Bob I voted to drag it out or let his machine drive with 3 wheels. I definitely did not want my FJ back there with trees scratching it up and endless mud in the skids. I'm still impressed with your Blazer and those Michelins.

Tyler - That reminds me - Did Bob get you that car wash he owed you?

Thanks to Randy's RZR Recovery Service for coming to the rescue! He's building up quite a pile of happy customers! He must really like you. He sure didn't volunteer to get Bob. Maybe he just doesn't like Bob! Lol!

Guess I need a new caliper.....

Yep that caliper is a goner. When I lost my brakes in Sophia my rear caliper had lost 95% of the outer arm - it was maybe 1/8" thick.

Yup, caliper and knuckle are beat. The halfshaft and cv joint look fine minus the torn up boot. It mush have happened just as we hit the haul road and I noticed it early because there wasn't any mud, dirt or even dust in the CV joint.
Also noticed the axle nut was only finger tight and being held on by the cotter pin. That might of had something to do with it and I'm also wondering if the bent radius arm on that side could have something to do with it.

Order another axle from Hunterworks. Well worth the $199. Replacing a boot on a 3000 mile axle is a waste.

Randy I said nothing about the air conditioner having a bad capacitor or any problem with it. I found a tripped circuit breaker in the trailer, reset it to get the power back. Also I found the outside power plug was burnt and should be replaced. I didn't look at the air conditioner, Tom thought the thermostat was bad. I have worked with electronics and motors for over thirty years, I do know something about this area...

I remember taking an electronics class at Keesler Air Force Base near Biloxi Mississippi in 1977. In that class we learned the purpose of resisters, transistors, and capacitors. When I asked a question about capacitors, I said the word wrong. I said capacitator as in cap-a-ci-tators. There were two instructors in the class. They erupted in laughter. Soon, all the students were laughing too. I learned a lesson that day. Be careful how you say things. Larry M

In their defense they were told to "pull off the road". No one expected 4 ft deep mud.

Man, my little Ace can tackle that mud with no problem. I'm still trying to figure out what the yellow strap was for.

I'm still trying to figure out what the yellow strap was for. Spare Tire Carrier finally let loose. Had to borrow me a strap from the R&D Center....

Yup, I would agree. The one on the right side was a little bent to start with but after I got it home and cleaned up it was REALLY bent and the one on the left, which was straight, now has a nice little bow to it.....
