Hey guys...anyone know of a good legal place to park and unload near the burke mt area?We want to do a day ride through the hmpc trails and some outlaw trails as well without having to drive to the Pineville trailhead? Also , is it ok to ride the ballpark trail on bobs map...I see it has a locked gate on one end.That trail is part of the loop we would like to make.Thanks!

What is Burke Mtn? Is it the View? Id say park in Welch at the WalMart (closed) or ShoeShow.

I think the ballpark trail gate is almost always locked. I would only try it from the gate end in case it is locked.
I have seen people parked along the road up by Burke Mtn. There is one spot of the haul rd that has two trail branch off of it. It has a large open area.

park at the HMPC TH coming into mullens or across bp in mullens, Just back into the drive Ive parked there before or just park in Sophia and ride down.

It is the area on top with the wide hall road that leads to the view.
