Golden Crack video -- I thought the crack was deeper... I'm gonna try Android maps on a Nexus 7. I have been ordering the stuff for the several days. If I don't like it I'll go back to my old Nuvi 550. Allen -- you working out a good way to get us to Colorado or wherever for this late summer or early fall? When we did the crack we did it going in the other direction. The direction he's going looks easier for the crack itself, but the rest of the Golden Spike trail would SUCK going that way!

Good looking mount Ken. Seems kinda low. How you powering it -- cig plug or did you hardwire?
I'm thinking of riding next weekend or maybe just the weekend of Feb 7, 8, 9. Hmm definitely 7,8,9. Next weekend is superbowl so if I can it would be just Saturday...

Next weekend is superbowl so if I can it would be just Saturday... That's where I had my Montana mounted and liked it. Also trying to keep it kind of shaded to cut down on glare...I can move it later if need be. Cig light is powering it for now. It's in an Otter Box and not waterproof so will have to see how that goes. I can do 7,8,9 allot easier than Super Bowl weekend as long as the weather isn't obnoxious.

Got my nexus 7. I have no clue what I'm doing. Decided to cut it off. I'm guessing there was an update since Bobs directions. I will play with it this weekend.

So what is the correct option to choose when downloading base maps? -Cache to Main Tile Cache (preview cache) or -Cache to new Named map Folder (Map Package) or -Add to an existing Named Map Folder (map Package) Attachments:

should work either way. if you want to have multiple map sets and keep them organized you can do that by creating separate databases and installing the map tiles, waypoints and tracks into them. this way its easier to delete or update later.....or at least that's my theory.

I used option "Cache to Main Tile Cache (preview cache)"
The word preview made think this would not work.

I'm really liking the nexus and back country navigator. Just saw a thread on rzrforum on GPS and someone mentioned that they are doing the same thing and put the service manual on the nexus in case it is needed.
SMART! I gotta do that!

Good point Ken. Chicken Wire and Duct tape will make it better. Heck my Rzr has a tranny with a chain for reverse. WTF... Even Yugo used a gear.

I think the rain at Brimestone killed my Nexus. That or putting it in my overhead bag and forgetting to remove it for a day. It fogged up inside it and now does not work. Time for a waterproof tablet.
