For those of you who missed this one be thankful as: The Weather – High’s in the 60’s and bright sunshine both days The trails – perfect, no dust, lots of mud holes and very little road riding The Riders – Me (Tom D), Bob T, Greg W & His son Joseph, Lonnie, Wiley, Alan S, Randy R, Jane & Al (in the trailer next to ours at Hilltop) So be thankful you missed this awful ride….lol Friday - we rode trails around the can over trail and did some exploring all around that area – found great trails all day – went about 50+ miles Saturday – Went down to Ashland first for Jane & Al to purchase their 2012 Passes then took the never ending trail to trail 80 and jumped off at the outlaw trails where we had a very long ride through mud hole after mud hole --- tons of fun – rode some of the new Pocahontas trails being cut in and then to Bramwell for lunch. Two Great days of riding… (picture is of us parked in Bramwell for lunch)

What a great ride. Lots of fun on this one and no complaints about too many roads.
I'm looking forward to the next one!

It was a great 2 days of riding. We rode less than a mile of road and plenty of mud and water. Found some nice long dead ends.
I just got finished cleaning up the ATV. It was as dirty as it has ever been. I had leaves in places I didn't know I had places. It is all shiny and put up now.
The Pocahontas system is going to have some nice trails. I updated my tracks today and will publish a new map soon. I also cleaned up our trip to Sophia last weekend.

Remember - it's not technically a dead end if there is "a way" out. Some "ways" just are more difficult than others....
Cleaned up the Rincon today. Must have had 30 lbs of leaves wedged in every spot possible.

Cleaned up the Rincon today. Must have had 30 lbs of leaves wedged in every spot possible. Sounds like the experience Eric C. had last weekend where his canam had a mountain of ice and leaves crammed into every a-arm skid.

I never like it when we get turned around.....but then again, who am I to talk. Only thing I rode this weekend was my bicycle on the beach...

Ken -- were there any steep dunes you had to turn around on?

Ken -- were there any steep dunes you had to turn around on? Yes, very steep and scary. Had the family with me so had a built in excuse to turn tail and run the other way! LOL! ;D

Note: I never elected to turn around. I was forced to come back down a hill I ventured up when I realized I lost my followers....

Great ride, rode some new trails to me and some that I have not ridden in a long time! Looks like the Pocahontas system is going to have some nice trails when they finish with it.
