After riding in the XP , the ride was better than my LE and the suspension was way to tight on the XP that we rode .... Daryl and I needed a day each with that thing just to get past the WoW factor and get to the real driving , I just wanted to do a burn out and see if we could do a wheelie , seriously I think a power wheelie is not out of the question for that machine , and a burn out a reality . Do we know if this engine is a bored out 800 or an entirely new casting and new cam, head, etc? I take it that if you 2 are that impressed that it would make an awesome machine. BTW, I'm getting over the 4 seat thing. At some point Elizabeth is not going to want to come and it will be just me or Walllace and me. From what Dustin told me about the motor( before he was let go at Carolina) , just think of it as a big block motor and the 800 being a small block .... There is the potential for it to support over 1000cc and lots more HP .... But belive me Matt , Derrick said it correct , I really wish I had not rode in it , I'm kinda hooked ..... Good thing is I'm broke ...

Matt, the XP's are in stock at nearly every dealer. I am probably going to buy the 800S LE and the dealerships have a hard time keeping those in stock. Everyone I talked to said they were selling like hotcakes but the XP's just weren't moving as fast.

I also heard over on WV SxS that the axles were thinner on the XP. That sounds like a major issue to me. Of course, if the mettalurgy is better then it shouldn't matter. Have to read up on that.

Polaris had some issues with the axles early on, but they have since gotten them ironed out. I think it was more to do with quality issues than anything.
What it boils down to is whether or not you want to pay for the most powerful machine Polaris makes......if you don't care about that then get the "S", which is still an awesome machine.

Interesting take on the XP as far who this machine best fits and some basic mods:
2012 shouldn't need tires with the Bighorns they come with now. I can see lowering the suspension would offer a better ride and possibly handle better but for riding around here you're going to hit more rocks, possible a wet seat, and risk bending the radius arms on the rear.

Matt, go get you one. The great rates expire soon and you can still get in on it. The smile you will have on your face will make up for the extra wrenching LOL

The extra wrenching comes into play because you have so much fun in a RZR that you ride it more and push the limits of your machine and your abilities farther because it makes you feel good! That's it, the RZR is a feel good machine!
