It was an excellent riding weekend! Not a drop of rain or snow Sat or Sun. BobT and I got rooms at the blue building (Country Road Grocery) www.countryroadgrocery.com 304-467-7424. Roger is the owner and Steve is the concierge who lives on the premises. New rooms,We were the first to use them. $40/nite. I rate this as WV one fly. The more flys the worse it is. There are 8 rooms with more to be finished. The rooms open into a U shaped lounge area with big screen TV and couches. ATV secure storage at nite on the first level. Camping is being developed up the hill. AC for every room and heater in every room. New bathrooms with full size showers and hot water! There are two big dogs for security and complimentary visits from chickens from across the road. The chickens also do wakeup calls. We rode 109mi Sat up to Sophia and had a gutbustin' lunch at the Chinese resturant($6). We rode trails we usually do not go to. Sat we did 20 miles on trails off of Peters gap road and wound up cutting fallen trees to get by. We came out at the guardrail trail and then stopped at McComas store. From there east across the mtn to the Blue Bdg. Bob the cartographer has some corrections for the master trail map. The Country Road Grocery is a definate asset to the area.

So the Blue Building is now a recommended stay spot? I'm interested in riding to Sophia at some point -- I heard that is a good ride and the Chinese Food is great. Who rode - Bob, DavidB, Coop, anyone else?

The Blue bdg is recommended without reservation. Bob and I were the only riders this weekend. We saw 6 razers and a few atvs on the trails. Yes, The chinese food was great. As good or better than any chinese buffet anywhere!
