Tom D and I rode Sat and did 83 mi. Where the Windmill gap rd connects to H/M 14 we came within 30 yds of a black bear. The bear decided to run before I could get a photo. He was about 200-250 lbs and glossy black. We found some trail connections not on the map yet. Hopefully Bob can add them. Sunday I rode a 42 mi loop on roads mostly from the stairseps to the blue bdg, then Peters gap rd to the guard rail trail, then crossed the road to Montcalm/Windmill gap and took a dirt rd back north to where we saw the bear. 125 more mi on the new Grizz. Time for the first oil change. Great weather,no dust since it rained Fri nite.

One other thrill this weekend was finding the yellowjackets nest in the power supply door of the camper. Thanks to Roger's long distance spray I think the prob is solved. Randy and Allen, check it out when you turn on the outside water hookup.

Dang -- you killed my pet Yellarjackets....
Glad you got rid of them. I heard some buzzing the other weekend when I was in the bathroom but thought it was the converter under the fridge. It sounded odd and now I know why...

David, I updated my tracks with your new ones. The one that you got on just past the Stair Steps goes with in 500 ft of the Soggy Bottom Trail. However, your track ended 300 ft higher than the road. I could not tell how they connect but I do know they do. There a trail to the left on SogBot a little ways past the mud holes. I have attached the new track file with your sections I did not have. I named them: SogBotByPass, Little Fork Rd, Trk 04, Trk 05. Attachments:
