Just saw on FB that the Pocahontas trail system is shutting down in 6 weeks due to a large mining operation starting up.

I read that also, sure is a shame. I see a lot more of this in the future. The rich man don't make nothing off of the trails, lots of people have invested time and money in the HM trails, sure hope they can make out.

Mining is getting in the way.
China just needs to take our scrap again and it will stop. Making new steel takes lots of WV coal for intense heat.

A bummer for riders and businesses accommodating them. I wonder how many jobs this major mining operation will create for the locals and for how long? On a personal note, I'm going to miss the ride over to the Bramwell Corner Shop.

I feel for the folks that have opened places to stay, eat and to just accomadate riders. Most of them will not get a job working for the mining company.

Not all bad news. They said new trails are going to be opened up, just further from mining areas.

They also said all y’all Outlaw Riders are causing the issues.
