I've looked around for someone near me to do vulcanizing and found no one. I saw this machine on eBay and Amazon. Wonder how it would do? Wonder were to buy the patches. One of my rear tires has a patch exactly like this so I can see it working. I don't need it today but I know several people with sidewall plugs that could save a tire with a spot repair. www.ebay.com/itm/222266014146

I'm impressed with the picture of the tire with a 11" x 4" hole it was able to fix! maybe we can get the club to pay for it for members to use at a small cost?
I also called around in my area and nobody would waste their time doing a small atv tire. They only handled very large construction type tires, bobcat tire and such.

I looked and there are cheaper ones on eBay. I wish I had the tires I punctured to test on. It looks fairly straight forward. The rubber comes in a roll.

Here's what my rear Maverick tire looks like. I'm pretty sure it was previously Vulcanized.

That's what they said about my Roctanes...
I think when these companies claim that about their tires it is not meant for riders like you and I. Probably more for easier riders that cruise at 10mph or less all day.

I'm still amazed you have never busted a tire Lonnie. I guess when you weigh 27lbs there is no stress.
I bet I've put 1/2" or larger holes in 20 or more tires in the last 10 years. I destroyed over a dz from 2007 to 2010.

I wonder if the misspelling on those Bighorn knockoffs is intentional as an attempt to prevent a patent infringement lawsuit.

It was a mistake. My fronts say Bighorns, the rears are big H rons. From what I have read they have moved the letters to the right spots in the mold now.
