I wish both Polaris and Can Am would concentrate on making a higher quality product and better suspension setups instead of worrying so much about high amounts of horse power. Both of them make junk (I've owned both). The price of these things is getting way out of control big time. IMO In a perfect world, the ideal SxS for West Va riding would be a 80 to 100hp engine, 55 to 65" wide, a properly setup suspension with 14" of travel, 8-9 ft long and HIGH QUALITY parts that don't have to be replaced after 1500 miles of trail riding and $12k-$16K price range. A mixture of the RZR S 900 with a Maverick 1000 would be great, but with some better quality in mind.

Brian - sounds like you should start a new SxS company and build the machine you described with high quality parts at the price you noted.
Put me on the list for one of those

I had a Can-am that I thought was a problem (2010 Outlander 800r limited) but Polaris has taught me more about what "problem" means. If my Rzr has issues in Utah it will be gone. I think it's almost ready with a few minor fixes from last weekend.
I'm really hoping somebody I know buys the X3. I want to see how it does and then it may be on my short list.

Lurker here.... Take a good hard look at that X3 again Brian.... Can-am clearly worked to eliminate many of the issues that the previous gen Commanders and Mavericks had... Motor moved to back = less heat in the cab + plus easier to maintenance and swap belt. 3 link suspension > Rzr 2 link design which was superior to previous Mavs. Thicker, wider, stronger belt for longer belt life. Also, direct air intake into the CVT to provide cooler temps for the CVT. Longer wheel travel than previous Mavs, higher ground clearance, lower rider position in the cockpit that centers the rider in the frame.... You can definitely see the improvements. I am pretty interested in seeing what they have done... Not so much for the X3, but it makes me excited to see if they do some of the same things for the Commander (as I like more utility).

Brad - I like my Commander storage and utility too but would like a bit more travel on the suspension.
FYI... All .. was at Lake Norman Power Sports today (Corneilus, NC) and Susan said she would have an X3 on the showroom floor in SEPTEMBER.....
so save your pennies up and go get it !!!!!!
But please let me know so I can be there -- I would love to see the face of someone parting with $27,000 for a SxS

Tom - Absolutely... The suspension on the Commander could use some improvement, as I think it is a dated design. I would love to see the motor moved to the back for easier maintenance and the Maverick rear-end used in place of the old Commander rear-end... Mine is a 2012 XT, so I am just waiting for rear-end problems to start...but then again, I don't have hardly any miles on mine, just afraid of what I read on the internet. I love some of the things I see on the new General, but I just can't see myself going with a Polaris... Just seen too many bad things with them.
I will say, I will never pay $27k for a SxS...

Think I am with you there about not paying $27,000
I have a 2014 800XT with 3400 miles --- issues so far are - bad high beam switch - covered by warrantee ongoing issue - every now and then misses at 6,000 rpm's -- code shows wire issue - in shop now
but I have had no other issues up to now
Pretty happy so far ...

Hmmm I'll pass on that one. Does Waze even work on a Windows 10 phone?

That's its biggest issue. Not much works well on Windows mobile. Lol

I'm thinking about it. Only downside I see is it needs huge flares, but I can make anything.

I would hope they come out with a non-turbo version. Does any know if they are?
