We made it to Manitou Springs around 8:30MT. Trailer worked perfectly and you didn't even know it was behind you. Lonnie's truck is a hoss.

I forgot how far it was out here. Man what a ride. Now to get to the cabin and get some trail miles in, I am tired of pavement.

We do not have WiFi here, so we have to use Ken or Larry's Hotspot.
Sat - we rode over and around Cross Mtn. 42 miles
Sun - We rode 115 miles .......Napolean Pass, Tomichie Pass, Hancock Pass, Pitkin, St Elmo, Tin Cup and all the trails around them. The FS shut Williams Pass down a day early and we did not get to ride it, after looking at in and hearing about we are not too disappointed. Ran into small hail on top of two of the passes, but only lasted 5 minutes.
Mon - rode 75 miles...... Lily Pond, Tellerium Creek, part of PiePlant (50")
Today we are going to go to Aspen.
Weather has been perfect. Just wearing jeans, tennis shoes and light windbreaker yesterday and today.
Yesterday some guys were admiring Allen's trailer, taking pictures and are going to make one. Allen is going to Patent it.

I like it. I was able to keep up with the RZrs if I wanted. I sheered off the front skid plate bolts on the first day. It held on with bolts from the front bumper. Before I rode it, I wondered if they would stay on. They were regular hex type bolts and were not recessed. I will buy some round head grade 8 bolts so they will slide off rocks and won't break. Talking about rocks, Colorado has some...some big ones too. The Upper Italian trail terrified me again. I don't know how I did it on an ATV four years ago. The choice was to climb a big flat rock about half the size of my Can-Am Commander XT or get too close to the edge. I chose the rock and the skid plate paid for it.
