I know most have seen these spy pics from 2 to 3 years ago. The weird thing is I thought I saw one on then interstate in Winston this past Saturday. It was a camo version but looked just like this otherwise. It wasn't a new prototype vehicle or anything, but had plenty of accesories and mud on it.
It seems like I read somewhere that one of these Chinese Rhino knock off companies stole the Yamaha prototype photos and went ahead and made that concept into their vehicle. Not positive on that. I'll say this, it looked like it had a Yamaha logo on the front end. I passed it quickly and by the time it registered I tried to slow down and let it catch up but I had to exit before it caught me.
I checked the Yamaha website and I see nothing different. My guess is we will never see this concept vehicle because I think it may be trumped by most manufacturers before it hits the market.....with the exception of the 4 seat capability which only Polaris has that covered for now.

As much as I pick on you guys , I really wish Yamaha would do a sport version , new twin motor ( even if they used another motor manufactuer ) and take the rhino where a lot of the west coast guys have gone , I like what a lot of the people do to the Rhinos , but its still the same ole rhino with new options .... and a 4 door would be nice but a sport version is what they need .

You would think Yamaha has plenty of engines. One of the rumors was for a 900+ cc inline 3 cylinder from a snowmobile.
But like you say, the more players, the more the competition for better machines. I'm glad Polaris and Can Am have been so aggressive with their SxS campaigns. Sounds like Arctic Cat is coming on with a new sport version. Maybe Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki and others will put out new machines that will push new thresholds and limits. I really hope they don't forget about those of us who want sporty 4 seaters. They need to hurry so they can hit the used market in a couple years for my cheap azz........lol.
