I would not have thought that many people go down and get to trick or treat, looks cool!

Actually Ocean Lakes was very full if you were looking for a concrete pad spot for more than 2 nights. Plenty of spots were open but you would have to move if you wanted it for more than one night. My family really likes Ocean Lakes. The dog rides in the golf cart and there is always something for the kids to do.

Ocean Lakes is a GREAT campground and is huge and always has a decent amount of people.

I just made my thanksgiving weekend reservations at Ocean Lakes last week and they only had 3 sites open that would work for me. Lucky for me, one of them was 3 spots in from the beach!

At Ocean Lakes I always go for H or HH spots. I like to be near the beach and activity center and want a concrete pad. I do not want a 1st row beach front site due to the strong winds that can kick up at night. We were there last year in January and the winds passed 50 mph at night -- sounded like a Tornado. My preference is 2 to 4 spots from the beach front site. Plenty of wind break but close enough to walk to the beach in 3 minutes...

I agree on the concrete pad. I went there once without one and will never do it again. I HATE sand!

The pads are the deal! I love to but my astro turf out on it, it like a Boca Raton patio 8-) I stay at lake wood more often, I wish they would do concrete pads. Me and Lynda love going to the coffee shop on the golf carts!

Is Lake Wood the super religious one....the one that won't allow any alcohol? I think I had a reservation there once, but when I saw I would have to be thirsty all weekend I canceled my reservations.

Ken, they are a Christian Campground. I am not sure about the drinking. I will go over there today and check it out for you.

They say they are but I always have spirits ;) with me, I think just like any of the grounds, as long as you are not show casing it and being disorderly no one really cares.
