You missed a good one Ken. We only did a couple of girlie trails but after Saturdays ride we were to tired to even try them. We left at around 9:30 that morning and got back at 12:30 that night. My odometer said 134.7 miles. Personally if I ever see another rock it will be to soon.

Wiley, I assume you guys made it home OK. Of course with you being named ( Long Ride Wiley ) it was most likely midnight before you got in.

Lonnie, we made it home safely glad to see you did as well. Sorry about stopping at an exit with no diesel, was going to stop at the exit before but the sign said something about it being closed so went up to the next one guess I should have gone one more.
Trying to get caught up on work today, hopefully I'll have time tonight to post the pix and get a ride report started.

Well I guess I’ll get the ride report started.
Larry, Michael and I arrived at the campground 12:30 AM Friday morning hooked up the water and electric and was in the sack by 1:00 AM. Larry got up early and Michael and I slept in. We finally got motivated, got the camp setup and hit the trails around 10:00 – 10:30 along with Larry’s friend Kevin. We headed up trail 45 to the top and took trail 15, which is red, to get Larry back in the saddle the right way! Actually I didn’t know at the time Larry hadn’t been riding for awhile because of his shoulder so we jumped off the red trails and stuck to the green and blue trails with a short red one thrown in for the remainder of the morning. After a decent loop we headed back to camp to collect Lonnie.
After lunch Larry decided to stay at camp and catch some z’s since he was up earlier so Michael, Lonnie, Kevin and I headed over to Evarts to check out the camping situation for next year. We checked out the camping, filled up with gas, I found some deodorant at the Dollar General and we started back to the mountain but as we were passing the Ridge Runner hang out we heard thunder in the distance and after last year being stuck on top of the mountain in an electrical storm I decided to stop and see what developed. For the next hour and a half we waited out the thunder storm under the safety of Ridge Runner’s shelter. After the storm we headed up the mountain to find some newly dust free girlie trails. We succeeded in finding some slick hills where on trail 19 I turned mine on it’s side backing down when I got stuck on a little rock face, ripped the crouch out of my rain suit (luckily we didn’t get any more rain while riding) and I hit it hard the second time (as I should have the first time) and we continued on. We rode a few more trails and decided to head back to camp where Larry had a fire going. We grilled up some steaks and enjoyed the campfire until bedtime.
Next, who’s going to give the Saturday ride report?

ATV1,
I was not on this ride, but I believe they were taken their by a guide from Kentucky. Club members do not ride on closed trails if they are clearly posted or told not too.
Your post sounds threatening and accusitory. Please clairify your post if it is not., because it is coming accross in a negative manner.
We do promote the positive aspects of ATVing. Not to break laws and be unresponsible.

From the info I can gather this person is stonemoutainrubicon, so I'm not sure why he is so upset and did not post under his normal name. I was on this ride and we were not told it was closed and we did ask. We encountered no problems or signs telling us to stay out. If we had we would not have ridden these trails. I'm sorry you are upset but if trails are closed then signs and info should be posted.

No one from KY guided us I've ridden up there for years and thought the guys would like to see it. I knew the dry lake had been off limits for a few years but did not know the cat ladders were off limits and as Lonnie said there were no signs indicating as such.
I've been told that area is now open again, is that true or false? Be good to know for the next time we're up there.

I'm with Jay Beevious. I've ridden in many wet lakes and creeks but never ridden in a dry one. Take me to that Dry Lake.

Well, I'm really sorry your having such a hard time over this and I send my apologies from me and all the club members that were there. As stated before we had no problems during our visit and was there for 3 days riding and really enjoyed our time there and have planned on coming back next June but if its going to be a problem for you and your club we can go somewhere else. Once again I'm sorry if we rode anywhere we were not suppose to but nobody said anything about areas being off limits. Its time to let this issue drop cause its been 5 months since we rode in Kentucky. If we do come back we'll be sure to stay in the park. If we come back.
