I will leave it to others to fill in the details but we had a great weekend, the kids had a blast and surprised and impressed everyone with much improved skills. On the second ride on Saturday and mastered a monster hill climb and decent that some adults wouldn't try! As always pics don't do it justice but here is an attempt.

I have more pics in my photo album and I know Others have some too. Post up some links ;)

EDIT: Not sure why but the direct links aren't working. Just check them out in my album I guess.

Another great Kids club Ride . For me it started at 3 pm on Friday , I met Ken and family at the rest stop on the other side of Gso, started down and got to Busco at 5:30 or so , set up . Soon there After everone else started making it in . We stated up late listening to Frog mans DJ service ( Neighbors had a rocking system ) which was playing really good music . Dinner was provided my Ken ( thanks again for letting the kids enjoy the trailer and dinner ) . Robert came with the Puppies ( big and little ) , well really almost everyone came with dogs ( Matt, Daryl , Robert . Kids and dogs and ATVs are a great mix . Great campfire kept eveyone up late cooking Marshmallows , running from camp to camp . Saturday moring started early and eveyone was ready to go by 10 am or so . Some friends of my Larry , wife Susan and there 2 kids Natan and Ashly joined us . We made a big loop around the lakes and a little misshap into the woods ( bumper to bumper action ) lots of water and muddy puddles to play in then back to camp to have some lunch . There was a guy out there who had a Gas RC truck that was moving , making 40-50 mph on the sand ( nitrogen suspension and all the good stuff) . Back at camp CJ was feeling under the weather so he sat out on the next ride but will let Ken fill everyone in on that . Daryl lead a great ride where we had them going up and down hill , had them on a narrow ( just as wide as a atv ) beam of sand ( over my head high ) . Lots of skill was learned on this ride and by the end of the day they were riding much more comfident that at the beginning . I would like to say thanks again to all that made it , this is a lot of work but as most see it is well worth the effort . Link to pic (if it works if not look in my photo bucket under Busco kids ride Feb 08) .

Randy we missed ya and the Girls ( would have been the first Female domainate ride so far if they would have come ) , we had 3 moms this time also , belive me we are very pleased with the way this is working . Simple plan to follow , simple idea is make it fun as possible and safe as possible . We are really enjoying the moms coming along also . Larrys roll bar did not come exactly as he wanted but it worked well past his expectations . The kids enjoyed it ( Toby put his hands up like he was riding a ride at a amument park . The way his is made it can unpin so that his bed can dump to clean underneath , then pivot back to come back together ( if you wish to look at it call me he live less that 2 min from me ) . He is a private builder and is talking about buying bender to make bumpers , roll cages like this so if you want a set for yours Randy ........ cheapest setup he found was like $1500 plus shipping , he said he can beat that to pieces with better tubing .

Thanks Brian , it has worked out much better that we could have ever expected , all the parents seem to be pleased with how safe we try to make it , So far we have not had what I would call a bad trip , laughing kids , camp fire , mudd so far has made a great mix . I would like to get together a MOMs ride , all ladies ride ETC . If we are needed them we will be not to far away but I know Penny has everything on my bike she would need to get unstuck ( which never happens LOL) and most of the fellows also have this , so this is a much needed ride also .

Yep, we had a blast. Was great to get the ATV out again, and both Bev and Haley had a blast. I bet Haley put 50 miles on her bike just running laps around the camp area. :)

We would have loved to have stayed longer, but Bev was not feeling well at all. She went to the doc yesterday and found out she had a sinus infection, so with some good meds she should be fine soon.

We had a blast and hope to ride again soon!

We had a great time as usuall.....at least for a little while! Seems CJ got into some trail mix and we think he had an allergic reaction to the cashews. He started complaining that they made his tongue and throat tickle. In about 10 minutes he was doubled over with stomach cramps, headache and tingly tongue and throat. Soon after that the vomiting began....and thats when I called it quits, packed up my stuff and hit the road for home. About 1/2 way home he started feeling better and wanted to go back. :o By the time we got all the way home he was fully recovered! >:(

....so we spent 10 hours driving, $100 in fuel, $100 in gate fees ( I did get a refund when I left early) and we road a total of about 5 miles on the ATVs !! 8-) ......but it was worth it. We had a great time and I just wish we could have stuck around for Saturday night.

BTW - How was the chili? ???

Thanks Drew.

Yes, he's better. He was actually feeling better by the time we got home on Saturday night. Know I tell him that if he mis-behaves I'm going to feed him cashews......and he straightens right up! ;D

$100 in fuel? Wow, that is awesome for your distance. I spent that much and I was estatic I got 11.5 mpg (hand calc'd) pulling 15,500 at 75-80 mph. Looks like the gear change to 3.55's was worth it. Seems I recall I was getting 9-10 with the 4.10's.

Nevermind, I saw in one of Kim's pictures a piece of your camera. Yes, a SLR. I figured that was why they were so good. Clearly, they are worth the $. Excellent quality pictures.

I just want everyone to know that Larry, Nathan, Ashley and I had a wonderful time. Everyone made us feel welcome and it was good to be able to ride with a big group. Next time, if we're able to go, maybe we'll be able to camp out. I took A LOT of pictures and will try to post them here. Not sure how to do it, but we'll see. Thanks again! Susan

Okay.....I looked to see if I could attach pictures, but can't figure it out. Can anyone help me?
